Acempc@50 Preparations The directors, election officers, and Acempc@50 officers join forces in daily afternoon meetings (which shall elevate to whole-day meetings on the two days before the “A-Dos” event next week) to ensure the smooth conduct of the 50th General Assembly Meeting, Elections, and Golden Jubilee Celebration. (Big thanks to the Office of the City Administrator for authorizing the meetings.) In the past week the board room has been bustling with consultation, tenth-to-eleventh hour planning and prep-work, and early absentee voting. At the same time solicitors for the Acempc@50 souvenir program (with the chairman and directors pitching in the effort – as in the photo at the Metro Gaisano office) were tirelessly visiting and following up offices of invitees and donor prospects in the private, public, and business sectors. Stress and pressure are somehow relieved with the occasional photo op (stolen and group-posed). Here’s hoping everyone has a good time on “A-Dos”!
