Head Of State Good morning, I want to know more about what General Yakubu Gowon was able to achieve during his reign as Nigeria head of state as the following points: Creation of 12 states Establishment of NYSC Uniting the country irrespective of the inherent diversity. major infrastructural projects to transfer control of economy from foreigners to Nigerians. During the post war, gowon government issued a nine point transition program that was to culminate in the handing over of power to a civilian government on oct 1, 1970.
