Achievements this week (30th Nov. to 6th Dec. 2014) ****CRIME CUM JCC MEETINGS**** JCC Cum Crime meetings to review the position of crime in the district were organized at First Mahila Police Station, BCS New Shimla and Rest House Narkanda for Urban & Rural Police Stations and Police Posts respectively on 30.11.14. ******MONDAY GENERAL PARADE****** Monday general parade which witnessed the presence of all ranks, ranging from W/Superintendent of Police to Constable from Shimla Police was organized on 1st Dec. 2014. This aimed at maintaining discipline in the force besides refreshing professional skills. *********BOOM BARRIER********* Boom Barrier established at CTO, Ritz and Challet Day Chowk to check unauthorized entries of vehicles to the Mall road. *******CCTV/ SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS******* CCTV/ Surveillance Cameras have been installed on Ridge Ground, Scandal Point and Mall Road at Rani Jhansi Park to keep a vigil on all movements in these areas and to enhance the safety and security of the general public and tourists. These cameras are under constant watch and any violation of law recorded under these shall invite prompt action by Shimla Police. ***********NEW BARRICADES*********** New Barricades have been placed for controlling the traffic in all sealed & Restricted Roads. These have been donated by Himachal Pradesh Gramin Bank. ***********ONE WAY TRAFFIC SYSTEM********** One Way Traffic system has been introduced on Auckland Tunnel Road to enhance traffic mobility. ********ACCUSED ARRESTED********* Accused arrested in Tara Devi forest falling and acid attack case at PS West Shimla within 24 hours. *** RECORD FIRS IN ONE DAY SOLELY ON POLICE INITIATIVE *** A record, 60 FIRs in one police station in one day, have been registered at Police Station Sadar Shimla, to remove unauthorized vendors from the already congested Lower Bazzar Market of Shimla. ****RECOVERY WORTH 12 LACS IN POLICE STATION DHALLI**** In our move to check the thefts in the city, Shimla Police has succeeded in affecting recovery of articles approx. worth Rs. 12 Lacs in Case FIR No. 148/14 U/S 457,380, 34 IPC Dated 07.11.14 PS Dhalli, from the four accused arrested in the case. ***ACCUSED SENT TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY IN RAPE CASE REGISTERED AT PS NEW SHIMLA*** The accused arrested in rape case registered at PS New Shimla has been sent to judicial custody…… ******CLAMPS ISSUED TO POLICE STATIONS AND POLICE POSTS******* In our move to check the illegal/ idle parking in Shimla, clamps have been issued to all the sub-divisions (Police Stations and Police Posts). Now on the unauthorized vehicles shall be clamped all over Shimla. ********ANTI THEFT LOCKS********* As a result of the awareness campaign run by Shimla Police, 137 persons have purchased Anti Theft Locks in Shimla and many more have placed their orders for such locks which shall be made available soon. *******TRAFFIC REGULATION DRIVE******** In our move to enforce the traffic laws to ensure safety and security of the citizens of Shimla, Shimla Police has Challaned 802 violators under provisions of MV Act this week and a fine of Rs. 1,35,000/- has been collected. 76 Challans under SRU&P Act and 20 Challans of clamping have been issued. 32 vehicles have been towed away to clear the roads. *****DRIVE AGAINST NARCOTICS******* A ND&PS Act case FIR No. 99/14 has been registered at PS Kumarsain on 04.12.2014 U/S 20-61-85 ND&PS Act and 165 Grms Cannabis have been recovered in this case.
