Achtung !! –let the medical profession beware the inroads /encroachment of the government (ie the politicians /bureaucrats /legal profession / insurance providers etal who manipulate our lives );-Here is an expose on the situation in the US, Canada, UK & other welfare states of Europe etc.; ---India is not far behind with its 6 decades old socialized medicine ! The situation is reminiscent of the scenario presented in Ayn Rand’s magnum opus, the philosophical novel,- ATLAS SHRUGGED: doctors quitting their posts /professional service in protest against the increasing interference of the state . (Quote from the closing para of this article) :One of the characters of the novel is Dr. Thomas Hendricks, a prominent and innovative neurosurgeon who one day just disappears. He could no longer be a part of a medical system that denied him autonomy and dignity. Dr. Hendricks’ warning deserves repeating: “Let them discover the kind of doctors that their system will now produce. Let them discover, in their operating rooms and hospital wards that it is not safe to place their lives in the hands of a man whose life they have throttled.
