Acid test for Tsutsulupa INFLUENTIAL Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa is back in action after recovering from a knee injury. He is expected to be introduced in the second half when Swallows take on Kaizer Chiefs at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto tomorrow night. Swallows doctor Ephraim Nematswerani confirmed the return of Tsutsulupa, one of the most consistent star performers at the club. He sustained the injury following a crunching tackle by Innocent Mdledle during their Telkom Knockout quarterfinal match against SuperSport United in October last year. United won that match 3-1. Lefa has been training with the team after completing his rehabilitation, and everybody is happy to have him back in the team, said Nematswerani. The good thing about Lefa is that he has been coming to the training sessions to do some long runs and also to offer motivational support to his teammates. Lefa is a born leader, coach Zeca Marques and the rest of the technical staff members are doing their utmost best to help him recover fully. Marques, who is happy with their preparations for the Chiefs clash, said Tsutsulupa will be reappointed captain when he returns to action. Lefa is the captain and he will be given the armband again. Lerato [Chabangu] has been doing well as caretaker captain in the absence of Lefa, said Marques, who is happy that he has a clean bill of health at the Birds nest. Zimbabwean defender Gilbert Mapemba has also recovered from an eight-month injury. He sustained an anterior cruciate ligament tear on his right knee last year. Striker Darrel Lurie is also training with the team after recovering from a knee injury. Our aim is to start the new year with a convincing win, but it will be a tough one against Chiefs because they are doing well, said Marques.
