Acknowledge Him and His Ways by Bishop Keith A. Butler Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 2 Peter 1:2-3 The word knowledge in the Greek means acknowledgment. This position says, “I recognize that you are the boss.” There are promises regarding everything in your life when you make this acknowledgement. Someone came to me recently and wanted to marry one of my spiritual daughters. I said, “You have to undergo some counseling first.” That person came back again, and said, “We want to get married.” Again, I said, “You have to do this first.” In other words, I was saying, “You are not the boss. The Lord sent you spiritual authority, and you need to follow these directions.” ** Prayer for Today ------------------------------------------------------------ Father, you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords! I acknowledge you in all of my ways and in all of my decisions. Thank you for those you have placed in my life who are faithful to teach me your Word.
