To help them understand their potential read them this poem and allow them to act out being a tiny acorn and a giant tree. Directions; Have the children cut out 5 acorns from the pattern below. Have the children color and number the acorns 1 through 5. Help the children attach the acorns to the end of each Popsicle stick. Instructions; Have the children hold all five sticks in the finished acorn puppet sticks in their hands. As you read the poem, instruct the children to drop the corresponding stick, so by the end of the poem they will have no acorn puppets in their hands.
