Across d world today, we have people who though they call themselves Christians, there is no single trait of Christ in them. Some even live worse lifestyles than d so-called unbelievers. They think they are christians because they have heard once you confess Christ as your Lord and personal saviour you are automatically saved and you become a full fledged christian. some have even repeated d sinners prayer and still have reasons to repeat it each time they hear a new preacher or visit a new church. I dare say that most people these days give their mouth but not their heart to Christ. This is self deception for confessing Christ a million times does not make one a christian without repentance. And repentance is not complete until we begin to bear fruits worthy of repentance. Jesus said These people draw close to me with their mouth and honour me with their lips but their heart is far from me, IN VAIN do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandment of men - Matthew 15:8-9. see Matthew 3:7-8.
