Across much of the nation, travelers zipping to and fro this week will benefit from a lack of winter weather. A ribbon of unseasonably warm, moist air will swathe the East Coast from VA to ME on much of Wed. and Thurs. The most abnormally mild spot could be southeastern New England, where the current NWS forecast pushes Boston up to 59F on Thursday. Only one time--in 1889--has the city ever topped 60F on Christmas Day.
