Ive received a lot of prayer requests lately, so many so, that I would spend the entire Bible study talking about prayer requests, if I was to go into each and every one. So I will surmise it at this, please pray for every soul seeking the Father, what ever the need may be. As I was writing this Bible study, in my head, there were a million different things I could talk about. So Im gonna try to stick to just one tonight and try to keep the rabbit trails to a minimum and yes I promise to try and not run too long. How do you act right for God? How many of you have even thought about this? Some of you have, Im sure. Is there a certain procedure, that you carry out, do you pick and choose your words wisely, as to not sound wrong? Do you avoid being confrontational when something is wrong? I ask all these questions from a conversation, with an old friend of mine, that I had last Saturday. And his problem was, not with what the Bible really said, but how people perceived him as a Christian. Now, dont get me wrong, my friend has the right idea, in his concern of the message that he is giving out, in his actions. But make no mistake, a theatrical act is not a commandment of Christ! If you believe in Christ Jesus with all your heart and all your soul, right now where youre at, with all your imperfections (yes you still have them) God has not ordered you to act like God. If there is a problem in your life that you have over came, praise God and shut up about it, because the Bible clearly says, if you brag to men about it your reward will be on earth not in Heaven. If you have over came on earth, stay humble, dont be judgmental, accept your brother as who he is. Do not brag in a field, that you think you are better at and if you really are better you will lay that crown at the feet of Christ and receive your reward in Heaven. Likewise do not allow men to judge you, Christ is your judge and if you are Christian you do not sit in the judgement seat, you sit in the Grace seat. Because the seat of Grace is what God gave you. I have to touch on this one thing, and yes I know Im starting to go long, but there is always a lot to do about Pauls Epistles, in the Epistles most of the time, Paul was dealing with a current problem and Pauls concern was that we conveyed the true message of God. Well let me make this simple, the Epistles were not to damn anyone, the Epistles were to point you in the right directions you should go, as you grow in Christ. And if you love God with all your heart your actions, deeds, words, and whole motive is to show that love to your neighbor, that is as Christ said, you have fulfilled all the laws and the prophets and I, myself will add, you fulfilled the Epistles of Paul! In closing this, if youre real about God, this is a hard task because mainstream religion is teaching, you must do this, you cant do that. I swear more and more, Christianity sounds more like Islam! If false religious rhetoric keeps growing, in 20 years, the Christians will be face down and butt up, in order to pray properly! CHRIST DOES NOT TEACH RHETORIC, NEVER DID!! But do not be afraid to really stand with God and really hold on to His Grace. I will leave you with all you need to know about repeating what men tell you.
