Action Alert! Join a local campaign to shut down Petland in Kennesaw. Protests are being held every Saturday and Sunday, from noon – 2:00 PM, in front of Petland Kennesaw. Activists are needed to hold signs and help educate the public about Petland cruelty. Petland Inc., Americas largest chain of puppy-selling pet stores, is also the nations largest retail supporter of puppy mills. It’s standard practice for puppy mills to keep animals in cramped, crude, and filthy conditions without proper veterinary care or socialization. Female dogs are bred over and over until they can no longer produce puppies - at which point they are auctioned off or killed. With up to 300,000 homeless dogs and cats per year euthanized in Georgia shelters, there is simply no reason for animals to be bred and sold for the pet-shop trade. Without these stores, the financial incentive for puppy mills would disappear, and the suffering of these dogs would end. Click below for more information about the campaign, and read testimony from former Petland Kennesaw employees describing sick and abused animals in the store. Get involved – join the protests of Petland in Kennesaw. This impressive grassroots campaign needs your help!
