Action Item. Call the Governor I just found out today. Senator Colbecks bill SB 423 to teach the Constitution in public schools which we supported, was absconded with to create a bill friendly to a Democrats so they would vote to approve the Gas Tax Increase ballot initiative! The bill authorizes a study to determine the correct amount of money for public education. Sounds like a good idea, but every such state study I looked at says they need MORE money. Even Washington DC, the highest per pupil funded public school in the country, concluded they need more money! The bill is on the governors desk. Call his office and ask him please, do not sign this bill. 517-335-6397.
