Actions to take over the next 4 weeks: we need writers, writing into the newspapers around the country about our opposition to oil drilling and why seismic testing this summer is a threat to marine life (if you have good literacy, this is for you). Try tv coverage Campbell live etc Need someone who knows how to do plans and schedules and organise these postings etc into a easy to read and follow timetable need volunteers over the next 4 weeks to roster on to hand out info on the beaches all over the summer period here in Ahipara,, Te Reinga, Opononi, Rawhiti, Paihia, Ruakaka etc to the tourists and to the locals (need someone to make up a eneral leaflet and a petition too) all the hotspots... we need a roster of people who are willing to talk to the visitors and the businesses here about why we need to oppose oil drilling. We need more signage and billboards going up on your fences and lawns very important just to encourage each other that we got a lot of support to build our confidence. Put some signs up in crucial areas eg across from govt and collaborators buildings in main areas like towns. If u wn propery close to a Doc office, its great exposure to remind them they work for us Those who are interested in direct action I am setting up a secure email SIS and CIB secure. end of the week be ready just a few things to help with for now We did a great job of putting the #STOPSTATOIL gathering together in only 8 weeks, we can do it again whanau, just need some summer support.
