Actor/Playwright Linda Griffiths death over the weekend got me thinking about a series of relatively obscure videos she and a group of other artists (mostly women, but some men) made in 2008, entitled Bad Dates With Stephen Harper. Each performer personified a segment of Canadian society -- the arts, Quebec, et cetera -- that felt screwed by the Harper government - they were essentially dear John letters performed for the camera that essentially ripped the Prime Minister a new one.
