Acts 2:14-21 Peter declares they are by no means merely drunk.....reminding them of the prophecies of old....and that those prophecies are being fulfilled right in front of them....The Spirit is being poured out...on MEN AND WOMEN ALIKE....who will prophecy for and IN HIS NAME...... There will be apocalyptic circumstance to be dealt with....there will be the routines of ordinary life to be dealt with....there will be persecution and prosecution (as a wise friend of mine likes to say)....but stand firm throughout it all...that is what Peter is declaring here....for ultimately there will come the triumphant return of our LORD.... ....the last days of the old heaven and earth.....BUT PRAISE GOD THE FIRST DAYS OF THE NEW HEAVEN AND NEW EARTH THAT SHALL NOT PASS AWAY! amen
