Acts 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. God is faithful to us, even when we do not deserve it. I am thankful that our Heavenly Father said that He would pour out of His Spirit on all flesh and it is happening today. Lives are being changed. There are some skeptics in the church who believe that there will be a revival in the last days, but, that it will not be of the Lord . . . it will be man-made. I agree to a certain point, not every revival that is birthed is of God. Lev 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. 3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace. When there are instructions given on how to do the work of the Lord, you must follow it to the letter. Nadab and Abihu did not and the Lord took the life of these brothers. There are moves happening all over this country and they call it revival. I am reminded of a particular individual, (I will withhold his name), who ministered in Lakeland, Fl, for several weeks. People would fall out (supposedly by the hand of the Lord); they would shake uncontrollably; miracles (again supposedly) happened. I called a pastor friend from that area and asked him about it. He said that he attended a service and found all kinds of things happening, but it was not the Lord. This evangelist was on TV programs and could not even explain what was going on, he didnt have any words to say about it. Later there were accusations made about him and everything fell apart. My point is . . . if God is in it, you will be led of by Holy Ghost to give a proper answer when asked and it will not fall apart. I agree with one skeptic that not all that is happening is of God. However, when the Word of God says that there will be an outpouring of the Spirit of God, I believe that it will happen. Our church just came out of revival services with an awesome evangelist, Frank Menhart, and the power of God was incredible. The Lord began to move from the very opening prayer, through the anointed praise and worship, and in the Word as it was preached with power. We had revival . . . we had a move of God. Our God poured out His Spirit and He stirred the church in service to Him. People were at the altars weeping before the Lord; some came for healing in their bodies; the gifts of the Spirit were in operation; the Lord was in the house. That sounds like revival to me! I like the fact that the Lord chose a man named Peter, a fisherman - He saved him, He filled him with the Holy Spirit and He called him to service. Peter, moved by the Holy Spirit, preached his 1st message and 3,000 souls got converted. Later on Peter preached his 2nd message and 5,000 souls got converted. Throughout the book of Acts, the disciples, including Peter, evangelized everywhere and the Lord did miracles through them. That sounds like revival to me! Brother Frank told us of what has been happening in India over the last 10 years. He had the opportunity to preach in India and then his ministry began supporting a man from that country, Joe T. During those years, with the support that Brother Menharts ministry sent, it helped to see 423,000 souls renounce Hinduism and they were added to the Kingdom of God. That sounds like revival to me! I believe that there is coming a bigger revival that will see hundreds of thousands come to the Lord . . . God has bigger plans for mankind than what we can even understand. Our services are over but that doesnt mean that revival has ended. It has only begun and we see people in our church ready to serve. There is no doubt in my mind that the Lord is not done with the church today, He desires that every man be saved, so, we will do our part and watch the hand of God move miraculously. That sounds like revival to me! Have a blessed day!
