Acts 2:38 Better to face the truth, even if it hurts! Recently I was doing some evangelism. I had just put a tract through a letterbox when my mobile rang. It was the recipient of the tract, with a question: I was baptised as a baby. Do I need to be baptised again? Her initial question was asked in a spirit of uncertainty – surely her baptism as a baby was enough to guarantee her salvation? Better to face the truth, even if it hurts! Being baptised as a baby doesn’t save us; doing good deeds doesn’t save us; being a Jehovah’s Witness doesn’t save us; being a Mormon doesnt save us; being a Muslim doesn’t save us. Whatever we call ourselves doesn’t save us, but obeying (Acts 2:38) will start us on the right road.
