Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. We repent of our sinful ways; and we are buried with Him in His name for the remission or removal of those sins, signifying a spiritual death to the Old Man, and are thus raised in newness of Life with Him, having taken upon us His wonderful name: Jesus. He then indwells us with His Spirit which is evidenced by speaking in tongues as His Spirit gives us utterance. This is the FOUNDATION. Upon this foundation we then build a house of devoted consecration to Him by being obedient to His commandments to be Holy as He is Holy. Putting away our former lusts; we put on the garments of chastity, modesty, purity, righteousness; through His Grace. This begins within the heart, and will ultimately manifest itself in ALL we do, in ALL manner of life, actions, conversation, mode of conduct, dress, attitude, etc. Making ourselves complete in Him through consecrated living according to His Word. Thus we present ourselves a living sacrifice which is Holy, and acceptable to Him. A spotless bride awaiting her groom at His blessed return.
