Its an older blog post - from 2011 - but Ill share here as I have many FB friends who are writers. I agree with the author of this piece. I never liked the term indie writer either. Youre a writer, or youre not. I acknowledge that self-published work can be poorly-written, edited, etc. or generally suffer from a lack of quality-control. But a writer ... is a writer is a writer.
