Adam and I and the entire family want to thank everyone for the many prayers over the past two days. While we were planning for an uneventful day of testing at Barnes Hospital it was anything but that! A full day of him ending up laying on his back--flat out for 38 hours and then being allowed to sit up ---first he had the planned heart cath -- echo--and ect then later in the day he was taken back to have an emergency stent and a balloon procedure in an artery at the front of the heart. It was a very tricky procedure for the surgeon due to it being at a branch of the artery and what should have been an hour and half deal became close to four hours to place the stent and do the balloon in the other artery. This is due to a transplant induced disease of the arteries and not to fatty tissue build up. Now we wait and see how it goes because there was one area that they could not work on and will have to stay the same as it was. Adam was a trooper with everything as he always is. I am so blessed with great sons. Larry and his son Clint spent 16 plus hours at the hospital with Adam and I on Tuesday and then came back and picked us up today. Thanks to Paul (Larrys boss) for covering his shift at work today. And also special thanks for all the phone calls and text with son James--I know it is hard to be so many miles (North Carolina) away and want to be with your loved one at the same time Thanks for all the calls from family members and loved ones today. And again thank you Larry, Clint, and James---love you.
