Add this to the list of things I never thought I’d hear pass through the lips of President Obama. Attempting to quiet his critics after he refused to pay a visit to the porous southern border, Obama offered this gem: “This isnt theater. This is a problem,” the President said. “Im not interested in photo ops, Im interested in solving a problem.” Not interested theater or photo ops? Odd. Only hours earlier, Obama had given a speech in a Denver park. Closed to the public but, wait for it…. wait for it …open to the press. Closed to some and open to others. Simply put, there was an organized effort to control the mood, tone and outcome of the speech. A speech given to an audience limited to invited supporters and an adoring press accompanied by photographers. Yet we’re expected to believe no theater exists in the ’presentation’ and ‘marketing’ of Obama? So, in summary: A rah-rah speech in front of a controlled audience while a largely doting press breathes it in and lovingly reports the “thrill going up their leg”. And we’re to believe Obama is not into photo ops? As they say. We might have been born at night, but it wasn’t last night.
