Addressed to Tony Mcnamara of CUH. Hello. It has come to my attention that CUH still has failed to take the necessary measures in preventing the spread of MRSA in Your hospital. How is it morally viable to have sick children, ie. children with already lowered immune systems, sharing showers and toilets with those infected with MRSA? Every child needs to use the bathroom, and you must provide a safe way for them to do so. Patients infected with MRSA need an environment secluded from the rest of the hospital to stop the deadly diseases from spreading there. If there is any place at all you should be able to go to, despite being ill, and thus having a lowered immune system, it should be the hospital. When you are there, you will need to use the bathrooms, which then have to be safe to use. You need to correct this issue now and find the necessary means to do so. Not through firing nurses whom you later have to re-hire for twice the price through agencies. I trust you will find a way. You owe it to the children and the entire community of Cork. You cannot afford more patients being infected. Sincerely, Lovis Mathisson Malmö, Sweden
