Addressing trauma in children: If we really want to address a childs trauma, and if we want to create an opportunity for healing, then weve got to address the child at the emotional, at the state, at the non-verbal level. Weve got to address them through eye contact, tone of voice, gesture and posture. All of these become critical in the non-verbal experience.
