Adelaide is full of urban art. From the free tag mural under the Morphett Street Bridge to the malls balls, art is everywhere...but there is some art hidden in the city that not too many people know about. In the west end a laneway called Rosina Street links Hindley Street and Currie Street. If you look up, you will see that the three story building to the east of the street has a match box car stuck to nearly every brick. This is the work of Slovenian born artist Matej Andraž Vogrinčič, who got the idea from the very small car park that is located on the laneway which arose from a 1970’s Council plan to attract people to shopping precincts in the city. Now 14 years on since the art feature was created and the cars are still parked on the wall but still very widely unknown. maxdingleart/installation.html
