Adena Shaman Believe it or not, this is a reconstruction of what an Adena shaman looked like, though it may show influence from the era of its production -- the image is taken from an old Fort Ancient tourist brochure of about 1970 vintage. I know, I know, it looks like a cross between Goldie Hawn as a flowerchild of the sixties and an ISIS terrorist. But good for dispelling those shaman stereotypes. The textile pattern is taken from remnants of actual textiles found in Middle Woodland burials at sites like Mound City. I recall Fiera Tenkiller expressing a distaste for paisley ties. Good thing you werent around 2,000 years ago, Fiera!
