Adina late night rant: I wasnt gonna post about this, but what the hey. I cant think of anything else to rant about tonight, and my feed is flooded in this story. Im less surprised by what Donald Sterling said and more surprised by the notion that people are surprised by what he said. A rich, old White man who technically owns and makes money off of Black people but doesnt like them, yet has no problem having a Black mistress while still legally married? Hes little more than a modern day plantation owner and his (ex) girlfriend is nothing more than a modern version of one of those Black Cherry types who would rather trade her self respect for a place in the big house than to pick cotton. He isnt the only man in such a position who feels that way. Hes just the only one who got caught recently, and on what happened to be a slow news week. Dont get me wrong, Im glad hes being shamed. But Im just a little surprised at peoples naiveté on this thing.
