The 22-year-old still remains publicly indecisive over whether he will leave Barcelona having returned from his personal holiday, with the club reportedly beginning to get frustrated at the lack of movement. And Hunter’s strong links with Spain given his role there for Sky Sports means he will know more than most and likely have some sources closely linked to the club, so what he says cannot be simply discredited. Thiago’s reduced buyout clause of €18 million, down from €90 million, will expire on 1 August so there will definitely be some sort of movement during the next month. And with United’s pre- season starting in less than ten days, I expect our movement to be officially confirmed very soon if a deal to bring Thiago to United is going to happen.
