Admin #AKs analysis of Uniteds squad- GK: De Gea is a good shot stopper and has improved a lot since he first joined, Lindegaard is decent cover. So this position shouldnt be a problem this season. DEF: Rafael should start as our regular RB and Smalling is good cover for him. Smalling is rapidly improving so thats a good sign, Jones could also contend for the RB spot. Our ideal CB pairing should be Vidic and Evans, Ferdinand should retire soon as his back problems are getting the better of him. Jones and Smallings provide decent cover for Vidic and Evans. Evras defending is getting poorer by the day and even though hes good going forward we should buy Luke Shaw/Baines to give him competition, Buttner like Evra is good going forward but not that great defensively, getting either Shaw or Baines will complete our defense. MID: Our main problems lie here. Our wingers are too inconsistent and we barely have any world class central midfielders. Valencia, Nani and Young are pretty inconsistent, we should sell Young but keep Nani and Valencia as they show flashes of brilliance. Januzaj is developing into a great player and is already better than the likes of Young and Anderson. Anderson too should be sold fast as his career is going nowhere at Man United. Cleverley isnt that great but could be a useful squad player. Fellaini hasnt had the best start to his United career but he too could be a useful squad player. Our first choice CM pairing right now should be Carrick and Jones as Jones is brilliant when it comes to stop counter attacks and mark players. Giggs should play 10 games per season now and he could provide a lot of experience. Kagawa is one of our decent midfielders but he isnt able to adapt to the EPL, but we should keep him. We need players like Reus, Marchisio etc. if we want to compete and if we are able to get Reus and Cabaye in January then our midfield would be much better than before. ATT: This is our best position, we have arguably two of the best attackers in the EPL in Rooney and Van Persie. Hernandez is a good goalscorer and is lethal as a substitute. Welbeck provides energy but his finishing is poor, he still is a decent option for 4th choice striker or sometimes even winger. What do you think? #AK
