Admin, if not allowed, please delete, I am only after some advice and guidance for a friend : HELP! I have a male friend who has separated months ago, has a 3 yo child but ex wife claims 100% care and does not allow him to have the child overnight. He has very limited access to his daughter, a matter of a few hours a month. Just to make things clear, this guy has no history of domestic violence or any other issues that would legally prevent him to see his daughter, he is a simple bloke, full time employed, living by himself. He already pays child support for 80% time on mums care and 20% of time in his care ( which he still doesnt get to spend with his daughter) that he verbally agreed on with his ex, but now his ex demands this 100% care and therefore more money for child support. What can he do legally? What are the steps? What is the Australian authority that deals with this? He needs a lawyer but he cant afford one. He left all their savings with his ex. Is there a way to help this guy that doesnt cost him an arm and a leg? Thanks guys, just thought of putting out there , in case someone knows more...
