Admin vent/question: Ok so my daughter was diagnosed with high functioning autism in May and it took me a while to accept it since we werent expecting this as a diagnosis. But now that I have I get crap for it and if I say anything about my daughter being autistic or anything about autism my aunt and grandmother snap at me saying shes not and they get mad at me. What am I supposed to do deny it and wait until it could possibly be to late to help her like my aunt did with my cousin because she kept denying something was wrong with her son and now because they waited to long to get answers for him he prob wont have a normal life. Im sorry I cant do that. I have one place saying autism for now but there is a chance its not but this is what Ive been told for now so am I wrong for accepting until Im told other wise?? She went for the big evaluation at the hospital today but wont know anything until next week. But am I wrong for accepting this is what I have for now? Did anyone else go through this? :-( -robin
