Admission Policy Academic Requirements for School Section Applicants must have completed appropriate educational qualifications and must meet the college criteria to be offered an admission. The following are the admission requirements listed according to the classes: Class – I Admission into class 1 is conducted through a specially constituted Admission Committee. Candidates are tested and interviewed at any two Model Colleges separately for boys and girls. Children who fulfill the admission criteria are called for Interview/Test. Tests are conducted from the prescribed syllabi in Maths, Urdu and General Intelligence/Aptitude. Class II-X Candidates are registered for admission subject to availability of seats in respective classes. Federal Govt. employees seeking transfer admission for their children have to produce relevant documents of transfer stating their claim. Registered candidates are required to appear for an admission Test in the following subjects: II-V: English, Urdu, Maths VI-VIII: English, Urdu, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology Academic Requirements for College Section Class XI & XIII A candidate, who has successfully passed her last examination from an institute situated outside Islamabad, shall provide residence certificate from the Estate Office/CDA or any other valid legal document in order to support her claim pertaining to residence. Admission to classes XI and XIII will be determined on merit according to the allocation of seats as mentioned below: Students of the Institute 60% Open Merit 30% FATA/FANA 3% Transfer cases 2% Sports 2% Disabled 2% Chilren of Teachers/Employees 1 Seats Applicants must have completed appropriate educational qualifications and must meet the College criteria to be offered an admission. The following are the admission requirements listed according to the classes. Class XI Minimum marks for each group: Pre-Engineering 65% Pre-Medical 65% General Science 60% Humanities 45% Class XIII Minimum marks for each group: Science (B.Sc) 55% Humanities (B.A) 45% Important information regarding admission against various quotas The following criteria regarding various quotas are strictly observed during the admission process: 1. Fata / Fana A candidate holding a domicile of FATA / FANA will not contest a seat reserved against the allocated quota if she has qualified SSC / HSSC examination from any institution outside the jurisdiction of FATA / FANA. 2. Position Holders Top three position holders from any board will be eligible for admission to all levels i.e. F.A / F.Sc and B.A / B.Sc in their respective disciplines, regardless of the basic eligibility criteria, i.e. proof of residence. 3. Sports Quota Students who are seeking admission on the Sports Quota should have participated in sports events at the Board level. Such students are required to submit certified documents issued from the relevant Board along with their Registration Form. Merit within the Sport Quota will be determined on the basis of points which are to be calculated as follows: Acheivement Points 1st Prize/Championship in an Individual/Team event at Board level 10 2nd Prize/Runner up in an Individual/Team event at Board Level 7 3rd Prize/Runner up in an Individual/Team event at Board Level 5 Participation in an Individual/Team event at Board level 3 Representation at National Level as a team member or in Individual/Team event at Board Level 10 4. Teachers / Employees Daughters A separate merit list shall be prepared for teachers / employees daughters and it will not be mixed with the general merit list. Note: If any seat(s) against any quota are not fully utilized due to non-availability of eligible candidates, the vacant seats will be transferred on to the Open Merit Quota. However, proper documentation for the transfer of each seat needs to be made after verification by the Director concerned and then needs to be consented by the Director General, Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad. General information regarding admission The number of seats in each faculty will be determined by the institution. However, the number will be finalized by Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad in consultation with the Heads of the Institutions before the commencement of the academic session. Students who have cleared Senior Cambridge, GCE/O-Level /A-Level examination / Polytechnic Diploma will be eligible for admission along-with other candidates. Their merit will be determined on the percentage of marks obtained in their respective examination. Equivalence of Certificate shall be determined by IBCC, Islamabad or University of the Punjab, Lahore whichever is applicable. All foreign students are required to route their application for admission through the Ministry of Education. Migrating students shall be entertained by institutions where seats are available provided that the merit in the desired discipline of the institution is not compromised. No local migration is allowed. 20 marks will be added in the merit of Hafiz-e-Quran for admission at all levels provided the candidate produces a certificate of successful completion of the course from a recognized / registered institution. Students qualifying from the Model Institutions where there are no college classes at present will be treated as their own students in other Model Colleges where they wish to seek admission. Admissions are conducted only once a year as announced by the College / Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad. Students placed in compartment in SSC / HSSC examination will be considered for admission once they have successfully cleared the subjects in which they were placed in compartment. No casual admission is made / granted. A student is required to be medically examined before admission and it is mandatory for all the applicants to fill out the Health Section in the Registration Form. The last dates for admissions are strictly observed. In case there are vacant seats available after the admission deadline, formal permission will be sought by the Principal from Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad. If a student, after getting admitted to the College, fails to pay her dues within the date notified by the college, her admission shall stand cancelled. Every successful applicant is required to submit an affidavit on legal stamp paper assuring the Principal that she will refrain from participating in political activities or in any subversive activity during the course of time at the college. Her Parent / Guardian will endorse the undertaking and will further undertake that his child / ward would be liable for removal from the college roll if she participates in any political activities or does not abide by the rules and regulations of the college. Students are expected to exercise their choice of subjects carefully. Once a student has opted for a subject, she will not ordinarily be allowed to change the subject. A candidate admitted in a group of lower merit cannot opt for a group of a higher merit. The number of students who can be admitted depends entirely on the number of seats available. Every student is expected to have a good conduct and behaviour. The first term is a probationary period for all the students. Failing to meet the standard of the institution will lead to termination from the College, if required. Migration Policy And Procedure Categories The cases of migration will be treated under the following categories: If the transfer of parents / guardians takes place at the time when the regular admission for first / third year are in progress, the student will have to compete in accordance with the criteria laid down for the other candidates. If the transfer takes place during the academic session, the candidate has to qualify the test and interview conducted by the institution besides providing the academic and attendance record from the institution last attendant. Procedure Students migrating from other board / universities shall produce the following: A character and school / college leaving certificate from the Head of the institution last attended. Registration certificates of the board / university from where the student has passed SSC / HSSC examination. Academic and attendance record from the Head of the institution last attended. In addition to the normal character certificate the Principal may, if she deems proper, call a special report of the student’s behaviour, attendance, reputation and her amenability to discipline from the institution last attended.
