Admission to the Yale Young Global Scholars Program is very - TopicsExpress

Admission to the Yale Young Global Scholars Program is very selective. Applicants should have demonstrated high academic achievement and leadership potential, in addition to strong interests in the program content. Applicants should also be able and willing to work openly and effectively with peers. We review all applications holistically, and there are no minimum GPA or test score requirements. YYGS accepts applications from current high school sophomores or juniors or international equivalents (usually ages 16 to 17 during the program). In order to participate in the program, students must have some high school or secondary school left to complete after summer 2014. The Yale Young Global Scholars Program has no citizenship or residency requirements. International students, if admitted, will need a valid passport and, if necessary, must obtain a visa to travel to the United States. For those students who do not participate in English-language schooling, please note that a high level of English fluency is required to participate in the program.
