Admissions (2015-2016) will be conducted by UOK itself. Therefore, Im going to let you know the old process of admission, it might be possible this process will be followed this year too OR new policies will be introduced at the time of announcing admissions, dont take these details as final pattern, it is just for guidance. Below details are according to the ADMISSIONS 2013-2014 (conducted by Karachi University not by NTS). -> 1. Admissions kb announce hongy? Ans: UOK will announce admissions in Nov 2014. (All Bachelors & Masters - Morning) While Evening Admissions will be announced after Morning admissions. -> 2. Inter ki percentage and Test ki calculation kaisy hogi ? Ans: 60% Test and 40% Inter percentage. (Example: Youve got 70 marks in aptitude test, and has got 60% in inter, then this formula will be followed. 60% x 70 = 42 40% x 60 = 24 Total: 42+24 = 66 Now this 66 will be your percentage on which youll get admission in aptitude test based departments. NOTE: This criteria was followed in admissions 2013-2014, it might be possible, new criteria will be introduced this year. -> 3. What is Open Merit ? Ans: These are departments in which youll get admission on your Inter percentage. You just have to fill the form and youll get admission if that departments closing percentage resides within your Inter percentage. -> 4. Closing percentage kiya cheez hai? Ans: These are percentages on which a particular department is closed. (Example: 500 students applied for English, but this depart has only 100 seats. Let suppose, the topper applied has 70%, Uok will start count down from 70% and will stop when 100 seats are full. Suppose, 100 seats are full at 65%, then 65 will be the closing percentage of this department.) -> 5. Is bar merit uper jayega ya nechy ? Ans: God knows better, but it is most likely expected closing percentages will be as same as below closing percentages, with a difference of +-5%. -> 6. Meri itni percentage hai, kia mein KU mein apply krskta hon?? Ans: Eligibility to apply for admission in University of Karachi. A) Pharm-D = 60% (Inter - Morning & Evening) B) BSCS/BSSE = 55% (Inter - Morning & Evening) All other departments: Inter % should be greater than 45, otherwise youre not eligible to apply for UOK. -> 7. Test ki tyari kahan se karen ? Ans: Just revise your Inter (1st & 2nd year subjects) and have basic General knowledge. -> 8. Aptitude test kis kis subject ka hota ha ? Ans: Youll be having Same as you studied in Inter (But it will be finally decided when admissions will be announced). -> 9. Calculators are allowed ? Ans: No. -> 10. Negative Marking hoti hai k nahe ? Ans: No Negative marking. (But Chemical Engineering have Negative Marking.) -
