Admittedly I am a die hard Cowboys fan so some may think this is a tainted view. The trick play the QB for the Lions ran to beat the Cowboys borders on unsportsmanship conduct, and heres why. The league is passing all sort of rules to protect the QB. You cannot hit them above the shoulders nor below the belt. If the Cowboys D-line does fire off the ball and hit a unprepared QB they would have face severed public and league sanction. Case in point is the way Tampa fired off the ball when the NY Giants were trying to down the ball and run out the clock. The media killed him for it. Because of these reasons the Cowboys could never have stopped the QB.
