Adoption Matters Northwest provides good and thorough training. If you want to learn more, you will be invited to attend a course of Adoption Preparation Groups. These courses are held regularly throughout the year at Chester, Blackburn and Hale (Altrincham). The preparation groups cover a wide range of adoption-related issues such as child development, attachment, separation and loss, identity, resilience and the effect of maltreatment and neglect. The groups will also provide an opportunity for you to meet adopters and to hear about their experiences. Our aim is to help you make an informed decision about whether adoption is right for you.
