Adoption update: Look at our Hankie now! (Hank Jr) Did you know that on January 6, 2015 , we will celebrate 3 years of hard work and miracles? Hank is very special to me...as each one of them are...but, he was the only horse I was supposed to be rescuing from animal control that fateful day in January 2012. As it turned out, in the course of just a couple of months , 22 horses were rescued. I was the director of the operation for another rescue. I quickly realized that any of them that could find good homes needed to be adopted out, as many that were rescued were very old and some were lame...making them almost impossible to find homes for. A few short months later, Mea Olas Place was formed and then took on the responsibility of the entire herd of rescued horses. The first picture is of Hank at animal control, and these next few are ones that Roy Oliver sent to me yesterday. Hank Jr has turned out to be a great horse! He lives in Utah, works cattle...and Roy says he is like a mountain goat on the trails. Happy New Year to Hankie and Roy!
