Advent. A time of waiting. But waiting with a sure purpose, not - TopicsExpress

Advent. A time of waiting. But waiting with a sure purpose, not of impending doom, but of Immanuel - the with us God. I love Advent, an important time of preparation, of joyful expectation, looking back to the birth of God-fleshed King as a baby and looking forward to His return when He will wipe every tear from our eye and there will be no more death or pain or ebola or racism. It is hard to wait. But we wait with hope. In addition to the numerous highlights of this past weekend (Olivias engagement to Eric, watching my good friends man-child son play two games of college basketball, and a night of full-fledged fellowship with good friends and family around the important cinematic work, Christmas Vacation), tonight continues this joy-filled waiting with our churchs joint Candlelight Service with our sister church, Brown Hutcherson Ministries. I cant wait. And this is largely due to my eager anticipation of singing in the joint choir. Here are two selections. Listen and youll be blessed too. And if you are able, join us at 6 p.m. at Grace CRC. O Come Let Us Adore Him https://youtube/watch?v=wSBPGro5uhE Emmanuel https://youtube/watch?v=av1omSNOFwE Blessed waiting to you.
