Advent JJ for 12-25-14 Christmas Day But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 --- Bearing children isn’t possible for many women. How incredible that God has enhanced the minds of doctors with new ways to make this possible. Kelly is holding a life briefly and soon she will give it back to the proper owners. God gives us children to care for and we are to raise them according to His way. (I fail at this daily, but I’m not a quitter.) Mary and Joseph knew they were in the presence of the Son of God, the King. Yet, they also knew He would be theirs only while on this earth. Their child would have a purpose to fulfill on this earth. Kelly, this surrogate mom and incredible woman, to me is a hero. I don’t care if she gets paid a million dollars for what she is doing. What price would you put on your baby? How much would you spend to bring your baby back or heal your child from cancer? There is no price for a life. Can you imagine the excitement of this family traveling from so far away to come a get a blessing from a woman in a different country? Not to mention, a woman they are not related to or even know! Coming here will feel like the longest flight of their entire lives. But on the return flight, they’ll be blessed parent. Their return flight will be filled with awe, to hold a newborn baby for the first time is an incredible experience. To sit and stare, with near gapping mouths, at a life formed from their two cells. I know by the end of that flight they will have memorized every eyelash on those tiny, closed, sleeping eyes. They will know how to describe the 15 shades of pink that make up her perfect lips and cheeks. These parents will have, more than likely, put her sleeping body near their ears to hear those tiny, birdlike coos. This kind of, in a human way, helps put into perspective the excitement, joy, love and so many other feelings that there are no words to describe. Speechlessness. by Jennifer Nichols --- It was a holy night. It was a silent night. The angels heralded the news. They were overwhelmed with joy…speechless. --- linger longer: Psalm 68:5, Matthew 2:10-11, John 1:14 --- PS The “rest of the story”: Kelly gave birth to Olivia on 12-16 & Lori is due with her 2nd child in August. ----- https://youtube/watch?v=VXK50lsrdq4 Mary, Did You Know?
