Advent week two: Come as you are Play song Last week as we lit the advent candle, we reflected upon the greatness of God. This week, we are going to reflect upon the fact that The Lord loves each of us that He sent his one and only Son to perish so that we may have have eternal life. (John 3:16) I Timothy tells us, Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory. (1 Timothy 3:16 NIV) As we are waiting for the second coming of Christ, May we always be mindful of the fact that He will meet us where we are in life, no matter how many things weve done. All we have to do is come as we are, Father God, thank you for your everlasting love and ever extending grace to us...so much so that you sent your son to die so that we may live eternally. For that we humbly thank you and pray that we do your will. Amen
