Adventures in Ecuador. Yesterday, I went to visit a friend in Gualaceo which is an hour outside of Cuenca and over the mountains from Paute which is where I lived up until a year ago. After about 15 minutes of boarding a bus to return to Cuenca around 7 pm, it seemed we were going pretty fast. Then a chorus rang out among the riders Muy rapido! Dispacio! I had been on buses going a bit fast before but had not heard the protest like on the bus last evening. I agreed and called out LENTO!.
