Advice: I have been rescuing dogs for a quite awhile now so most people should know my standard routine. I need FACTS - not guessing. Not saying well by his picture he looks like a nice dog -- Nice looking dogs bite too. Trust me I have been bitten before...I know this first hand. Praying to Jesus, the Holy Father or the Mother Mary also does not tell me if the dog is aggressive with other dogs. Here is the hardest lesson in rescue to learn: You Cant Save Them All --- I wish I could - but you cant....Not giving good information and getting a problem dog only ties up space that a non-problem dog could have used. Problem dogs take an average of 6+ months to place and cost rescue a minimum of $2k - $3k between food, heartworm/flea and tick preventative, boarding and trainers. There are no guarantees that a dog will be a problem dog or not but at least take the time to give us an accurate assessment or just say you dont know - then i can be the judge of whether or not I can take the chance, have the fosters available for a challenging dog and the resources necessary for the time it will take to rehabilitate or place.
