Advice Issued For: Bylands, Chintin, Darraweit Guim, Glenaroua, Goldie, Goldie North, High Camp, Kilmore, Kilmore East, Moranding, Pyalong, Springfield, Tantaraboo, Wallan, Willowmavin Fire Origin: MICKLEHAM Incident Name: MICKLEHAM - KILMORE Issued: 13/02/14 11:08 AM This Advice message is being issued by Country Fire Authority for Bylands, Chintin, Darraweit Guim, Glenaroua, Goldie, Goldie North, High Camp, Kilmore, Kilmore East, Moranding, Pyalong, Springfield, Tantaraboo, Wallan, Willowmavin. There is continued fire activity and the fire is currently not yet under control. There is currently no threat to you, but you should plan for what you will do if the situation changes. Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads. People travelling in the fire affected area should exercise extreme caution as hazards such as smoke,fallen trees,live stock and power lines,as well as emergency vehicles and changed road conditions may be experienced. Assessments are being conducted on roads,power lines power poles,stock and trees for hazards and safety issues to the public.Members of the public are advised that until these assessments are completed the area is unsafe to the general public. The Wallan Relief Center is open and located at the Wallan Multipurpose community center,42-80 Bentinck st,wallan. The Seymour Relief Center is open and located at Seymour Aquatic Centre (Basketball Stadium),Chittick Park,Pollard street,Seymour. For All Road Closures Check The VIC ROADS Website. Local Residents that require wrist bans for access can apply at the following locations. Romsey Service Centre,96-100 Main Street,Romsey,Wallan Relief Center and Seymour Relief centre and also the Kilmour Police Station.these will be open Thursday 14th February at 8am until 6pm. Proof of residential identification is required for a pass. Speed restrictions are in place on many roads within this area. Please observe all road signs. The next update is expected by 14/02/14 11:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au.
