Advice Issued For: Highlands Fire Origin: Ghin Ghin and Highlands Incident Name: NEWELLS ROAD, GHIN GHIN Issued: 25/01/14 9:45 PM This Advice message is being issued by Country Fire Authority for Highlands. Firefighters are currently controlling a fire in the Ghin Ghin and Highlands area in the Switzerland Ranges south of Mount Broughton. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Residents are advised to take extra care on the roads as Emergency Services crews will be in the area. Smoke may be visible in the vicinity. The next update is expected by 26/01/14 10:00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
