Advice Please! Repost from Anonymous So we are not a religious family. We do celebrate Christmas and Easter etc... as a special time for family. My kids are 2 & 4 and this easter I have decided that I do not want to pretend that the easter bunny comes. This morning I acknowledged that it is Easter (we are in Australia) we are going to paint Eggs and do a Easter Egg hunt. My 4 year old asked why the Easter bunny did not come to our house which surprised me. I didnt quite know what to say. Part of me just wants to tell him because its not real but I would not like him to tell the other kids that etc.. I would love advice as I know there are others out there like myself. Pretending the whole santa claus is enough for me to keep my story straight please edit it to say we have never done the Easter bunny tradition before this was just the first year my 4yr old was aware of it.
