[ Advice for the industry] Dont market like a politician. What I mean by that is, if you have to build your business by trashing other people publicly, then you have some insecurities trying to sell your products on its own merits. My advice. Take the high road. Dont make enemies of people that never did you any wrong and can be potential JV partners or allies or even friends. You will see these people at events and it makes for uncomfortable social situations for you, them, and many around you. And it could give you a reputation of being an ass when your name comes up. Take the high road. Sell on your own merits and you will be better off. Attacking others is what politicians do. And we all know how people feel about most politicians and negative campaign ads. Its just sleazy and nobody wins. The high road will server you better in the long run. It is easy to be tempted to go Anti-Guru or anti this persons product or launch, but trust me, selling on your own merits is all you need to do and it makes for better character. :-D
