Advice from our Ghanian brother- Jonathan Adzokpe: As much as my heart goes out to all those who are rendered unemployed after school, I believe all hope is not lost. An old friend visited me just this morning. He just completed his national service in Bolga. When I asked him what his plan is after school, he tells me the same traditional I am sending applications out to companies. Then I asked, How about thinking of starting a business? He said, Jonathan paaa. Clearly, the idea of entrepreneurship is yet to sink in. It is not unrealistic to start a business right after school. I started my first business right after KNUST in 2011. I sold top up cards to students in my hostel. I started with just GHC 100(ghana cedies). Starting a business does not necessarily require millions. If your dream business requires huge startup capital that you cant afford just yet, start with a business that requires an amount you can finance. Or, you can partner with other TRUSTED friends. Come what may, dont stay home doing nothing. Never join the so-called unemployed graduates association. Do something with your life. A lack of jobs is not a lack of your creativity. Arise, and do something!
