Advice is such a perilous thing ... being single I am honored by the married friends and couples that have asked my advice over the years. A friend recently shared the story of a minister that was couseling a couple and the wife let loose with such a viscous attack befire storming out that he was compeled to do something he had never done in 35 years of counseling: he told the husband to cry and mourn his loss THEN go get a lawyer -and make sure it was a good one...no matter the cost. So not being perfect Please weigh in: A friend has been telling me for weeks he was falling head over heals for a lady he met recently. He is a very down to earth guy...dresses casually and has a heart if gold. A dedicated divorced father, he has singely raised a son that would make any parent proud-just graduated with a second degree. Realizing his house screamed man-cave he asked me advice on making it more inviting, as he was inviting her home for the first time-he even bought her flowers. This time she divided her time between telling him he needed a new wardrobe...grilling him on what his plans for future wealth were and if he had active plans to make more money now. She had been invited to attend a family gathering and meet his family. She had him leave and take her gambling. I already gave him my opinion but before sharing would like to hear from you.
