Advisory for NYC businesses affected by Sandy Fee refund deadline for businesses affected by Hurricane Sandy May 31 Businesses may be eligible for city agency fee relief New York City business owners who made repairs or rebuilt because of Hurricane Sandy-related damage have until Friday, May 31 to receive refunds for more than 40 fees at eight city agencies. The agencies are the departments of Buildings, Consumer Affairs, Fire, Environmental Protection, Small Business Services, and Transportation as well as the Landmarks Preservation and Taxi and Limousine commissions. Business owners who lost a city-licensed or permitted vehicle because of Sandy also may be eligible for a refund. Eligible fees paid before Feb. 20, 2013 may be refunded.
