Aerial overview photos and observations from CD Administrator - TopicsExpress

Aerial overview photos and observations from CD Administrator Darryl Oliveira taken this morning, Saturday, September 20, 2014. Aloha! Good morning, The flow appears to be slowing once again and based on my rough estimates off the GPS coordinates has advanced approximately 100 yards. The front has widened somewhat and approximately 150 yards across at the leading edge. Very little burning and primarily along the flank in the tree line. Counted 5-6 surface breakouts on the pad upslope and some flank activity on the south side but nothing advancing or presenting with a finger or lobe. Smoke was moderate and dissipating with the winds. Vent looked active with some visible lava in small skylights. The activity on the east/northeast rim looked closer to the brim but maybe just my impression based on frequent obscured view with the plume. No fire threat at this time. Thanks, Darryl J.
