Affected employees must be offered a job by the incoming bus operator and their employment terms should not be worse than what they have from their current employer. The guidelines issued by the Public Transport Tripartite Committee (PTTC) on Tuesday (16 Sep), aimed to safeguard the job security and welfare of bus employees during the transition to the bus contracting model and it covered areas such as employment terms, employee benefits and professional training.
